Packing
there’s something suspicious about my luggage this morning…

The Last Week
Well, this last week has been crazy and hectic. Making the decision to rent out my condo unfurnished just ten days before I depart has made my life, well, exciting. Eh, more like frantic. I have been packing, throwing away, selling, giving away, pleading for others to take away and care for as if it was their own grandmother’s table (so that I can have it all back years later of course.) There has been some crying. I admit it, I am exhausted.
Mostly, now, there has been a lot of sharing this one leather chair with my cat and making lists and staring at my computer which rests not on a table but a TV tray, and shivering under multiple sweaters. Who knew furniture could keep a room warm? (Needless to say, this sudden cold Boston weather – and snow already?! – is making it a tad easier to hop on that plane tomorrow for Madrid.) There has also been a lot of phone calls…to banks, to magazines, Comcast, craigslist responders, liberty mutual, VW, and more – oh, and my all-time favorite, AT&T. I’d much rather be making goodbye phone calls to my friends.
I still haven’t sold my car. Not even close! And I haven’t found a renter for my place. But I have a realtor and I have a property manager. And she believes in the power of positive thinking so I believe in her.
The basement space, however, looks fantastic. Check it out:
